The Missouri concealed Carry Law (RSMo 571.121) allows any Missouri resident that is at least 19 years old and has successfully completed a qualified firearms safety course to apply for a Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Endorsement from their local sheriff's office. The applicant must also pay the prescribed fee and be fingerprinted by the sheriff's office. These fingerprints will be used to complete a full criminal background check by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in order to search for any disqualifying arrests, convictions, pleas, or other personal information. If the CCW application is approved, the sheriff must report a Concealed Carry Certificate of Qualification to the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES). The applicant will present the Certificate of Qualification to a Sheriff's Office in your area. You will receive a state identification card showing the CCW endorsement. The CCW endorsement is valid for five (5) years and must be renewed through the local sheriff's office.
